DEVITT, Derek (Ginger)
It is with great sadness that I have to inform the Corps members of the passing away of an old colleague and veteran. Our father 22713796 WO1 (RSM) Derek (ginger) Devitt passed away on 30th May 2011 after a long illness. He was buried 29 days after his wife, our mother, Betty, also after a long illness. Ginger Devitt finished his last post as RSM of 222 (East Midlands) Field Ambulance as RSM serving between Jan 1974-Mar 1977. In total he served in the Corps (as he called it) for over 24 years. They are both sorely missed. Joe Devitt.

PERROW, Tony Peter served 22 years in the Corps and his final appointment was RSM 222 (East Midlands) Field Ambulance. Peter passed away on 2nd March 2011 at 1825 hrs having suffered from a heart attack. I have spoken to Peter's son Graham who has given me the details of his father's funeral.
Funeral arrangements;
Venue: Stanleys Church Centre, Behind Cross Keys Youth Club, Lake Lock Road, Stanley, Wakefield, West Yorkshire.
Date and Time: 10th March 2011 @ 1300 hrs
Donations to: Pinderfields Intensive Care Unit
All those who knew Peter are invited to the Funeral.

30/07/2010 FRY, Tony. Funeral arrangements; Thurs 5th August 2010. 10.30am at St Mary's Catholic Church, 39 Ewenny Rd, Bridgend CF31 3HS. Followed by - 11.30 am. at Coychurch Crematorium, Bridgend for a short committal service. Afterwards - 12.15 onwards, buffet lunch at The Brocastle Manor House Restaurant, Bridgend, CF35 5AU.
Family Flowers. Donations to 'Help for Heroes' or 'Friends of Heronsbridge' in memory of Tony Fry to be sent to: Ron Watkins. 'Graigwen'. 12 Pentwyn Road, Pencoed, Mid-Glamorgan, CF35 6SB.
Accommodation if needed for the night before - www.premierinn.com. One just off M4 J36 (The Derwen) and one just off M4 J35 (Pantruthyn Farm). An announcement will be made in our local newspaper on Monday, but also available to view online at www.bmdsonline.co.uk (search by name). RIDELL, Margaret (Maggie) My wife, Q/Pte Margaret (Maggie) Riddell, served in BMH Rinteln and Colchester Mil Hosp and was know to other Med Services Personnel 1962 - 65. Qualified SRN prior to our marriage in 1966.
On Monday, 7th June 2010, Margaret succumbed to a brain tumour passing peacefully at home. Her loss has produced a chasm that will be hard to fill.

03/04/2010 BURNS, Pat. Fredrick Nock Senior (Standard Bearer for the RAMC Association) notified us on the 3rd April 2010 that former Ssgt Pat Burns has sadly passed away. Pat was the Standard Bearer for the Glasgow & West of Scotland Branch of the RAMC Association.
Details of Pat’s funeral will be published when known.

STRAIN, Ian.
It is with deep regret that I have to inform you that Ian died last night at his home near Nairn. He had been in a coma since the weekend but had a chance to say his farewells to all his family who had gathered there.
He will be sadly missed by all his many friends . There is no news yet of the funeral arrangements but I will keep you informed. Liz and I plan to go. Please pass this on to any of his many friends who I may have missed off the list . Your Ted and Liz Dagg"

GORMANLY, Andy.
Sadly on 10th January 2009 in Lincoln County Hospital, with his loving family by his bedside, Andy aged 53 years. The loving and caring dad of Philip and Rebekah. He will be dearly missed by all of his family and many friends and colleagues. Funeral service and committal to be held in the Grimsby Crematorium on Monday 26th January 26thJanuary 2009 at 11.40am.
